On 10 February 2011 the Scottish Government issued the consultation document 'A Consultation on the Future of the Fire and Rescue Service in Scotland' which can be downloaded from the Scottish Government's website. The deadline for responses to the consultation is Thursday 5 May 2011. Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Board will meet on Friday 15 April 2011 to discuss its response to the consultation.
